Scholarship Classes for Local Youth — News 2008
During both the Fall/Winter and Winter/Spring semesters, teen and Pre-Teens and 5 Teens from the surrounding neighborhoods of Fairmount and Spring Garden attend weekly modern dance classes on full scholarship. These classes are taught by JRD company member Chloé Davis at the Performance Garage.

Our teacher, Chloé Davis, (a Company member of Philadanco), presented five short dances with the young women from the Franklin Learning Center who have been in our weekly classes this past year.

Jeanne Ruddy (JRD Artistic Director) and Nicole Cavalier JRD Managing Director) visited Simon Gratz High school to observe Janet Pilla, (our teaching/artist and JRD Company member) conduct the last class at our 2008 Simon Gratz High School residency.
