Katharine savage return

Katharine Savage is a native of Memphis, TN where she began her dance training. She danced with Classical Ballet Memphis before deciding to combine her academic and dance interests in a college program. This led her to Belhaven College in Jackson, MS where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001, concentrating in dance and philosophy.

In college she discovered a love for modern dance, as she was able to perform with numerous visiting choreographers in residence. Upon graduating, she won the award for Artistic Achievement.
Since moving to Philadelphia, Katharine has danced with At Marah Dance Theater and Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers.

Katharine joined Jeanne Ruddy Dance Company in 2003 and also teaches Children's Creative Movement Classes at the School of Jeanne Ruddy Dance.

In April of 2005, Katharine and her husband, Brian, welcomed their first child, Lily Valarie.
