Biographies: Bryan Matluk

Bryan Matluk, Managing Director, graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2004 with a degree in English literature. Always foused on his work, he also triple-minored in history, philosophy and psychology. Mr. Matluk was also awarded "Highest Honors" for his thesis on modern American aesthetics entitled Appalachian Spring and All (unwittingly, this was his first contact with dance). 

Following graduation, he worked for City Year, Chicago, an AmeriCorps program focused on community service, literacy tutoring and after school programming. A late comer to classical ballet, he trained for four years under Marcia Dale Weary at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Mr Matluk quickly rose in the administrative ranks to faculty member, Director of Educational Outreach and Summer Residence Director and finished his career with CPYB as Acting Execuive Director overseeing the institution's $2.7 million budget and 1,300 annual students.

 From there, Mr Matluk was accepted into the prestigious and internationally competitive Kennedy Center Arts Management Fellowship where he received executive training under Michael Kaiser. Mr Matluk recently became an Executive Consultant to the Eglevsky Ballet Company of Long Island overseeing a new production and their reemergance as an artistic force.
